The Kosovo Inclusive Network (KIN) held a meeting on June 12, 2024 with representatives of the
organization HANDIKOS from Pristina. The meeting, which took place in North Mitrovica, focused on the importance of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, the need for its
incorporation into the Constitution of Kosovo, and advocacy strategies aimed at political entities to
support the adoption of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities in Kosovo
Assembly. Discussions also centered on the status of persons with disabilities in Kosovo, with a
particular emphasis on their position within the Serbian community. As a result of this meeting, it strengthened cooperation between the Kosovo Inclusive Network (KIN) and HANDIKOS, and concrete steps were defined to create a more inclusive society for persons with disabilities in Kosovo.
